How many letters - any placed?
Full clue Lie-in King was 'Dressed up in queer street which causes bias' (6,8). It's always helpful to give the full details available proust (written any good novels lately?)

Dressed up = VESTED, IN, Anagram of 'Street' = TEREST

Vested interest causes bias.
