16a Psilosis
Question Author
Thanks Shaneystar but psilosis in my Chambers isloss of hair Any ideas
True ...it does mean hair loss but it also means ...
In language, it means the loss of initial [h], the aspirate. It usually refers to the process in some dialects of Classical Greek, and then in all forms leading to Modern Greek.

Hello again Shaneystar
the letters have changed in the last clue I made a mistake and they should now read S-A-S-
The only word I can get to fit is sparse What do you think
Well..according to Chambers ..Sparse ...to scatter
Scatter means to disseminate or spread etc ....I'm not sure really ....not being much help am I !
It would be good to get a definite definition if you get my drift but I don't know where else to look .
Question Author
