Have completed the grid (am assuming 14 ac. is 'Slit') but can I spot the string of 16 cells to be highlighted? Can I heck as like! Am I right in presuming that it's the five word opening line of the rhyme of the theme? Any hints welcome.

Being spectacularly dim - despite your hint, I still can't find the string of letters. Are they all linked in a circular shape?
