One of my Editors pointed out to me that my breadth of musical scope as a freelance writer is really pretty extraordinary.

We were discussing my up-coming interview tomorrow with legendary protest / folk musician Joan Baez, and I observed that I was a little shell-shcoked after my interview and concert review with Morbid Angel, founders of the extreme metal genre.

Can anyone else macth this spread of stylistic appreciation?

PS - any mention of that falsetto fool singing about soft seventies soul pap will be given a smack!

um i dunno, but wish i was in your shoes interviewing joan Baez! you lucky git!

I love most forms of music from heavy metal like metalica to music from the 60's,quite a bit of alternative 80's stuff, alot of folk music, some pop (loving duffy at the moment), but i hate drum and base and garage. I can just about stand some rap music, like kanye west.
Classical chills me out after a long day particularly renaissance and medieval stuff.

That wide enough for ya??

Firewatch - yep, that'll do nicely!

Zacmaster - same for you too. If I appeared to be bragging, please accept my apoligies, that was not my intention.

Noknowledge - hope he was more polite to you than me - he walked off in a strop! I'll liten to Sting and come back to you on that.

Pianoman81 - I think the present Mrs Hughes may object ... but thanks for your good wishes - right back at ya!

Joan Baez has done a gorgeous duet with UK singer Thea Gilmore. Talk to her about that. The Long Road is song on album Liejacker.

Maybe about her sister Mimi Farina and her husband Richard Farina. Their time has come again with Barak Obama.

Her father was also famous, as a scientist.

And as the writer above said... you lucky git!
What an ar5e you are

Starmack - I did talk a little about that song, because I interviewed Thea a couple of months ago, and discussed it with her has well.

Joan is obviously keen on Barak Obama, maybe it's time the US got some sanity in the White House ...

RevFunk - sorry!
