Many thanks! I even looked through a list of Dyden's works but couldn't see Concordance on there - of course I can now.

The DRY bit is a bit dodgy in my humble opinion but I can see it all now.
Nope - I think it was that Scottish bloke Cruden
Yes, it is CRUDEN. Thankyou dundurn - did not think dryden looked right.

The plot thickens. CRUDEN does look right and he was the author of Cruden's Concordance. Although there are plenty of concordances of DRYDEN'swork most were written after his death so he could not have been the author.

Thanks dundurn, CRUDEN definitely feels better.
