there's a goat called a tehr (also spelled tahr) - anag of "the" + r? - not sure what the W stands for...

I see from Chambers that W can mean weak, maybe indicating an anagram of "the"

With respect, could it be that the "W" simply stands for "with," and the question could be stated as -' "the" with "r" goat,' the correct answer being an anagram of "ther," giving us "tehr."

ps, whilst doing the crossword myself, I came up with "tahr." Embarrasingly.

Thanks, celticminded. I had Tahr too, but more embarrassingly, I had spelled Yeats as Yates! Therefore, I couldn't get Hielans and I couldn't send in the crossword.
