Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

31ac 'Game put back by many'. I have tes?o?s, and the answer seems clearly to be 'testons' - 'set' backwards + tons. But Chambers only has 'testons' as meaning 'a name for various silver coins'. Can anyone help with an explanation or correction, please?

I am in the same quandary. I can only suggest that there is something missing in the clue ... sorry, feeble but all I have!

Sorry for the delay - I had to go to the shops!

I have bobac for 1ac and bharati for 1d. I'm convinced that my letters for 31ac are all OK, so I think I'll just go with testons. But it's unusual for this sort of problem to arise with Mephisto, and that's what makes me dubious...

I agree with you about 31 Ac. Ghent; Aidance; Don Carlos; and Orsino are undoubtedly right.
We are told that ALL answers are in Chambers 2003.
I believe that there is ONE word missing ... the word is after "many". But I am not a clue writer. I have no idea what it can be.
