Thank you so much, never heard of him but thought it must be hobson or hudson. Thanks for the wikipedia info. must brush up on my history,. Now i have another one 49A and 8 dn 19th c adventurer, mercenary and politician from Ennis, Think its Charles -i-n. Aldo 40A Type of mollusc c-w-ie.

No it has 5 letters, sorry, but the first name is def Charles and the surname has - i-n-

Sorry looked up the wikipedia, amaybe thats him, see hewas charles patrick, but the other clues make the surname different. Thanks anyway!! Think I'll go to bed
