Hi kayakamina - please accept my apologies for not getting back to you sooner, but my dearest friend was diagnosed with cancer on Monday & my head hasn't been on this planet since. Nice to get back to puzzling today - 7 done, so at least I know my brain's not totally frazzled! :-)
I've had a look at the site you kindly invited me to & am certainly interested. However, I feel that I'll have to get back up to speed on these crosswords first! It's been a long time since I even looked at an Azed; 1 in 3 Listeners might get sent off; I rarely see the Grauniad & almost never get my hands on an Indy!
I'd be extremely grateful if you'll allow me to take a rain check until the New Year, when hopefully I'll be in more of a position to make a valid contribution!
Again, thank you for your kindness & forbearance, & I'll see you round Q&P! :-)

I'm so sorry to read about your friend, and it is not surprising that you haven't felt like puzzling.
I am pleased you have had the opportunity of checking out the other site and I am sure that if you do decide to contribute it will be appreciated by the solvers who visit it.
I take your point about you being a bit rusty with the more advanced crosswords and hope you get more chance to tackle them in the New Year.
I note that some Abers are concerned that you are being 'poached' and will be leaving AB altogether. This is clearly not the case and they will receive the benefit of your expertise for the foreseeable future.
Thanks for coming back to me and 'happy puzzling'
Regards K

Lie- in -King Oh my gosh, can totally understand why you would not feel like puzzling right now! (i) Angel hugs to you (i) Heart + prayers go out to you + to your friend also. Have lost a loved one to Cancer + have had loved ones who's lives have been affected by cancer ( including survivors) so can empathise.
Please send your friend my heartfelt warmest wishes + smiles :-) + hugs + wishes for all the courage to live with this illness + treatment and to overcome the cancer itself. Positive thinking + much laughter ( humour is the best medicine) will help in the dark times + light times.
Lie-in-King Rooting for you big time, too!
Ciao for now, Bea :-)

To Gordon, Beatrice, Aquagility & comeragh - I nipped off for a while, so have only just seen your wonderful messages - thank you all so much! :-))
I'm blown away by the kindness & generosity of spirit that everyone has shown to both of us - but not surprised.
It's a privilege & an honour to be a small part of such a caring community.
