Am I correct in placing the 12 letter words with "A" at top and "H" in lower space in the LH grid.
Like wise 13 letter words "R" at top and "Y" at bottom in the RH grid.

Started off OK but now seem stuck so may have got them in wrong positions.

Hi jennifered ... yes that's exactly how I have them, and initially I also hit a brick wall, owing to alternative spellings on some of the other answers.

The "T" woed for small buffalo is one that has more than one spelling.

Thanks sarumite. The one I'm having real trouble with at moment is night-ape beginning with "D". AllI can find is DOUROUCOULIS. Can you help?

I have found an alternative spelling: durukuli. Seems to fit in :)

Yes agree with Rose Maybud .. it's Durukuli. Initially this would NOT fit with the first answer I had for the "T" buffalo which had an A instead of an I in the intersecting square.
