10d is tasty. TA are first letters of the Alps and sty is an old word for climb.
5a is plumist...p = quiet, lust = longing and mi or me can represent the note of that name.
15a I can't decide whether to enter spot or snot! Spot = dog, but snot backwards = many backwards.

hi quizmonster. thanks so much for those. i see that 'snot' also means 'contemptible person' so i think that would be another type of 'dog'.

It was the fact that I couldn't accept that tops meant many that gave me pause. Tops in the quantity sense surely means 'at most' rather than just 'many'. But what the hey!

I go for "snot". Chambers 11th has a snot being "a contemptible person", and gives one definition of "dog" as "a term of contempt for man or boy".
