After reading your question, I found time to do he puzzle, and I disagree.
The city/state confusion did not prevent the answer being obvious
None of the other answers that I did not already know took more than a single search via google or Chambers.
It seems to me to be pointless doing a general knowledge puzzle where you already know all the answers, as you don't learn anything.
