I would go with LEVER too, but it's not a good clue because you could reasonably read it either way.

Sorry, but it has to be lever. It's telling you to put revel back - not the other way round. Trying to make the clue fit the other answer simply doesn't wash - how do you explain the 'at'?

LADYBYRNE - my grandfather was, I believe, also from Co. Wicklow although that's pretty much all I know about that side of the family. Wish I knew more. I'm sure I must still have distant relatives somewhere. Thanks for replying.
