Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

Has the correct grid been printed for today's crossword?

It is an aphabetical puzzle and at 1 & 13 the same letters should serve double duty, i.e both across and down.

There are no clues listed which would fill this requirement- am I missing something?

It is the correct grid and all will become clear as you fill it.

1a is clued normally, as is 13d and you will be able to solve 1d & 13a from indirect clueing.

I had the same concern as you initially - then I realised that the grid is correct, but the grouping of clues under the headings of 'Across' and 'Down' in the online version is wrong - if you look at the PDF version, you will see that there are no across/down headings - you don't know which answers are across and which are down until you do the jigsaw.
