The world in black and white, copelander, oh how I remember that!
How about ice on the inside of bedroom windows, linoleum and rugs, what on earth was central heating, double glazing or even fitted carpets!?
Making toast on a toasting fork over an open fire, crunchy, but the carbon was good for the dietary system.
How about going through University and graduating without massive debts? In my case I received maximum grant of �309.00pa, which with the money earned during vacations with quite a variety of jobs, and the odd evening working in pubs, financed me for the 7 years, and still enough available to run a car, for the last 3 years a TR3A!!
Good times, but I feel for the youngsters of today, but they do seem to have a different mindset, mine was always "out of debt, out of danger!". I even hated having a mortgage, had 2 which were settled asap!
