I'm stuck with one corner this week.

3a. Love lance's dance (8) Only have L as the 2nd letter
9a. Playwright. Cat (8) Again only T as the 2nd letter.
6d. J. Peth's dad? (4) No letters
7d. Scraps advantage (4) No letters.

Any assistance much appreciated or are all the Glasgow people away for the Fair?

Thank you, Harry, you have come up trumps as usual.

I have now finished the c'word so if you need any help, I'd be pleased to assist.

Dundurn, thank you too. I must admit I'd have been permanently stuck with this one.
Hi filibuster - I'm nowhere near it this week but if I could have 13,14d and 26,27a I might salvage some pride!! - and thanks for the compliment

It's a pleasure to be able to repay you, Harry.

13, 14d are "Boston tea party", an anagram of ' treason at top by'

26, 27a. "Roll ones eyes" . Another anagram of 'no see, yes?'
superb filibuster and thankyou - I had a cursory look at the crossword and immediately got circular letter for 2,4d and thought easy this week!! - good luck for the dictionary and a T shirt
Question Author
Thanks Harry. With humility, I have to say, I already have both the "T" shirt and the dictionary! I won them a long time ago but recently I've been really struggling and seem to have lost my way a bit, or maybe it's dementia starting!

I wish you every success and hope you win. If you want a copy of the Dictionary, you can surf the net and buy it for much less than the price the Herald quotes. It's a brilliant book.

With equal humility I also won a T shirt but it was in the days before the dictionary was included so I'm giving my age away a wee bit!!

PS - it's still in its packaging and I threaten to bring in out to bore guests!!
Question Author
Oh, my humility doesn't go that far, Harry. I ripped open the pack, put on the "T" shirt, had my husband take my photograph and sent it to everyone I knew Don't mention
age because I'm old enough to remember more than I ever thought I'd know.
