Hi

I am having a problem with one clue in this month's crossword

41A Surpassing limitations

I have T?A?S?I?I?E

The only solution I can find is TRANSFINITE but can't really relate this to the clue as the meaning of transfinite is specifically to do with mathematics but the clue suggests a general definition. Have I got it right?
Any help appreciated.

Finite means subject to limitations. So if if something is transfinite it is beyond limitations.
