The Mail on Sunday has extended the deadline for crossword no 1,408 to 27th Oct.

afterthought re Nat Lottery, I asked in the papershop to check my lottery ticket as yesterday I had trod in some dog's muck and it might be lucky, she shook her head after checking and said find a bigger bit next tiime !
all part of life's rich pageantry I suppose !

Maybe I've been lucky no delivery thursday but a bumper bundle on friday,never realised there was a strike.
