Thank you kayakamina & mintyman 99. Looks an interesting puzzle.
Thanks as always
Thanks K & mintyman.

You finished it quickly. Is it as easy as you indicate?

Hi graudian

I filled the grid reasonably quickly and deduced the undefined theme word from the surface reading of a clue.
I then actually worked backwards and completed the unclued lights.

Good luck. K
Thanks to both of you for the links. Will look forward to tackling this later.
As usual grateful thanks to both of you for providing the puzzle
Have finished everything, but still have a problem with 34a.
The definition should be with w, although some sources do say v is an alternative I have found no examples of it being used.
The terrible leader is with v, I'm not sure if w is a valid transcription from the Cyrillic alphabet.
Any suggestions or explanations, anyone?
Chambers has the v variant = the w variant. So the v version can be used.
Thanks mintyman.
