7 DOWN Stone fence (6)
RUSTIC? Why?

36 DOWN Shut box (4)
SPAR? Why 'shut'?

a 'rustic' is a rough-surfaced brick or stone and also a fence made of rough branches, according to Chambers.

Thanks for your explanations Cruciverbali. We don't have stone walls in NZ, rather fences made with the famous No. 8 wire!
