28 ac: Display of sanctity by medieval bishop at Biblical city

I have o_o_r and I suspect that the Biblical city is Ur which gives me o_our. The only word that fits is thus "odour" and I fail to see what this has to do with a display of sanctity, even in Araucaria's perverse world. I suspect that I have erred elsewhere, but I can't see how. Enlightenment will be sweet.

The wordplay is ODO (Bishop) UR (Biblical city) = Odour - the odour of sanctity

See Chambers
Your answer is right.

It's an obscure figurative use of the word.
Bishop (Odo) +Ur

Bishop Odo was a medieval bishop of Bayeaux

Thanks ever so much for that. I have confirmed the reference in Chambers, so I have learned something. However, it's a bit much to expect people to know about Bishop Odo of Bayeux, don't you think?
