I need better brains. One real question, two "yes but errrr... why" for some charitable souls.

1/Naturally male comes in for new tie (5) got: M _T _ H

Possibly match, but call me stupid, can't se why.


2/ Regularly i post harsh letters from Greece (5). Got IOTAS, which works but cannot understand the secondary clue. Duh.


3/ Caught some adult on North Island somersaulting (2-1-4). Thinking of IN A TRAP, which works for "caught". "North Island" would give me the letters N and I. Is it the case that "adult" gives the letter A and "some" gives PART" and the lot gets anagramed?

Your expertise would be very appreciated - i am a rookie French solver and still a looooong way from getting all the subtleties of cryptics. Big thx everyone

Naturally is NATCH, substitute n for m (male), to make match (tie as in cup tie)
every other letter(regularly) starting with I
