H-g says he remembers seeing the Beatles in Paignton and Arthur Brown (he of 'Fire') in Tavistock Town Hall! I always fancied myself to be slightly more avant garde (and ofc much younger) and went to see the Soft Machine and similar... the follies of youth. The match last night seemed to be quite exciting (and infinitely less aggravating than the Listener which we were just finishing off before it did us in). Spurs obviously welcomed your help, Novalis, and although I support the Arsenal I don't think I can begrudge Spurs' win. Back to the weekly go round this morning with the Speccie, this week hosted by Doc. I don't know how you put up with the beauraucracy, Dd, it must be a nightmare - and, ofc, you can never win.
Hello Jogler(s),
My days at the same Establishment as Devadolly meant I was able to see, quite inexpensively (the Free concert was actually gratis!) a whole range of bands in the late 60's and early 70's. I suspect that Jethro Tull and Jack Bruce would have been concerts that one half of Jogler(s) would have appreciated. Over the past few years have been to see the Moody Blues a couple of times, the audience were of a similar age to the band! Still enjoyable though.

Herself's future nephew-in-law would have been beside himself after last night's result! Novalis, thanks for the help, but I suspect that given the track record of the Gunners versus Spurs, the odds weren't too good, so the winnings would have been minimal!

Jogler(s) and Novalis, I suspect that today's Speccie will not have presented any difficulties, "raises hand in acknowledgement and utters appropriate word!"
Hi DocHH!

The "hex" worked.
Thanks for the information on providing links.
Today's Speccie was pleasant and needed to be because I'm deadbeat after the quiz last night and comparatively little sleep. I won't Crow about how long it took.
Hello Novalis,
Pleased if my limited knowledge of IT has helped. I suggest you try it in Word or somewhere else, before doing it for any thing important! I hope that your £1.00 loss, which amounts to less than half a pint of beer in most of the pubs, other than Wetherspoons, near here, hasn't distressed your finances too much! Hopefully the next EV on sunday will distress Devadolly less than EV 910 by Mr O!
Like you, DocHH, we have been to see (and enjoyed) the Moody Blues in more recent history and also those old favourites, Status Quo - both groups seem to go from strength to strength. Ditto Def Leppard and Whitesnake... but our favourite troubadour, without a shadow of a doubt, is James Taylor. The Speccie was nice and straightforward, we agree, no emergency smoke signals from us on that one. Up to date, at last, and raring to go this afternoon.
