Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

My first listener from one of the Magpie team (talk about coincidences from last weeks magpie pitch).

Obvious misprints made this fairly straightforward to start but tricky to finish. The theme however was right up my street so the PDM finally dawned and then I very much enjoyed piecing it together.

A diagonal red herring having completed the top right hand corner first led me to think of the wrong 4!

Further to recent discussions about the Chambers CD Rom I too find it invaluable and regret that Chambers chose not to develop it further. I only wish that the instructions were more comprehensive; I am sure that it can do things that I don't know about.

I use this alongside TEA, a new version of which is being tested as I write. Over more years than I care to think about this has been a constant source of help and I know that compilers find other products on the site at www.crosswordman.com to be very useful. It is certainly worth a look.

I agree with the positive comments subscribers have made about the Chambers CD Rom and wish that Chambers had been able to develop it alongside the dictionaries. I am not sure that I am fully aware of what it can do and wish that the instructions had been more comprehensive. I need someone to write a book "The Chambers CD Rom for Dummies".

Alongside this TEA is a constant companion. As I write a new version is being beta tested (I am not on commission.) Over the years I have found this to be an invaluable aid and I know that compilers make use of other products obtainable from the site. I refer to www.crosswordman.com: it is certainly worth a look and it could even change your life.
