last one Girl from possible 21st (19 leaving) 7 21 is Capulet and 19 is Ria. I have V?L?R?E. It must be valerie but I don't think she was a shakespearean character an I'm not sure how the clue works beyond vale for leaving. Thanks

Valeria? - a female character in Coriolanus. It would explain '19 leaving'..vale Ria

But I'm still working on 'from possible 21st'...

I know that would make sense but it crosses at the bottom with an E from - I am owed a bob answer SLENDER - a Shakespearean character I'm still puzzled.
Slender is a character in The Merry Wives of Windsor
I went with VALARIE??
'S' was the old symbol for shilling. S lender would be owed a bob( slang for shilling)
Question Author
Why did you do that, Roslyn?
anagram of vale and ria and variation of valerie (shakespearean character) ?? Probably on the wrong track!?
Question Author
I'm sorted on Slender but puzzled by ValeriE and it's relationship with the clue.
There have been other discussions on this, both on AB and on the Crossword Solver forum. Many have opted for the rather unlikely VALARIE. It occurs as a variant of Valerie, as a Google search will confirm, and is an anagram of Valeria/Vale + Ria. I can only conclude that Valarie is the required answer or that Araucaria has had a senior moment. Even though I'm 44 years his junior, I can totally empathise with that!
So no one really knows. Well Araucaria must!
