11d Carl Peterson (arch enemy of Bulldog Drummond)
10a Goya ??
Question Author
Thanks ladyalex. I don't get the Goya connection and the letters could also be Zola, but I don't get why either!
Question Author
I have just looked up Wikipedia and it transpires that Zola wrote L'ouvre, which translates as 'The Masterpiece', so that will do for me.
Zola also wrote L'Argent, which may be the ensuing money (after the masterpiece).
