12d Appraisals, stick with them? (10) - R - T - C - S - S I can only think of CRITICISMS, but since I have submitted the solution, it has come up with one error in my statistics and this is the only clue that I don't quite get. Thanks.

Criticisms looks Ok

Means appraisals & some critics would give you stick.

Thanks K. I wonder which one it is then that everyone has got wrong. (All the first 30 or so solvers are down as having one clue wrong)
Were there any other ambiguous clues you may like to double check?

Cheers K

Nobody has submitted a correct solution so far. 3d is a bit funny. Dead, in deflated dinghy (4) I have LATE, included, but the DINGHY bit is redundant.
Hi again

I've just downloaded a copy and completed it. I'm pretty confident with my answers, so out of curiosity I'm going to submit my solutions and see what happens.

Also, I didn't understand 9d Does she make headway with this party mood lightener? (3, 7) I - E - R - A - E - ICE BREAKER. and 8a New sweet factory (4) MINT?
For "She" read ship and an ice breaker is a ship and when they move forward the are "making way".
Icebreaker is good - "she" is a ship and an icebreaker is a ship clearing a channel (makes way) - and an icebreaker at a meeting or party is a getting to know you exercise.
Mint means new (as in mint coins) or the sweet/herb mint.
By the way, new=mint and a mint is a factory (as is a plant!)
I think you need a noun for the clue to make sense and dinghy is as good as anything (could have been tyre).

As I say noone has submitted a completely correct entry according to the statistics, so there's one wrong somewhere. Like K, I was pretty confident that I had them all right, but seemingly not.
I'm told I also had one wrong! Rather immodestly I don't accept it and assume there is an error on the site.
What have you got for 22ac? I have ALSObut cannot really fit it to the clue apart from it being part of the clue.
what's the clue kalahari. can we all have a go?
Question Author
I have ALSO for 22a, as well. Seems right. Must be the Sunday Times site again.
Also is correct. 'Into the bargain' = Also which is 'boxed' in the clue
Sorry Boxtops!!
Although criticisms is correct I wonder if entering criticises makes a difference. Unfortunately I have not got the puzzle.
Question Author
Could 12d be CRITICISES?
If it is, it's wrong, as the clue clearly requires a noun, but it could be an error on the compiler's part.
