Hi, Zita Green. Mintyman has put it under the 'crosswords heading - here it is. It is quite difficult and honours a very significant person in the crossword world.
Finding this hard today struggling with my last 3 lights: 20d, 28d, 33a
I have ARI??? for 20d, ???T?N? for 28d and ???CH for 33a.
Any help/hints gratefully received
Bit late to this one - been playing golf.
I agree with Dr B - a very nice puzzle indeed - elegant and even the x checking letters marry the theme.
thank you Mintyman for PDF
congrats to DJ, Ros & Andrew ... looks like I got runner up on speccie 1989 so we're doing well
Must thank Mintyman for posting the link(s). I'm ashamed to say that I won first prize on the Macbeth themed puzzle, on a downloaded printout from this thread, which was my first ever Spectator entry.
What's to be ashamed of? Not everyone has beginner's luck, but everyone who wins has luck of some kind. Congratulations rather than an apology are in order!
