The Telegraph appear to have made a snafu of this today with no clue for 17d and others musnumbered.

I have A?B?T?O? which is probably ambition, so the clue could read ' aspiration after success or advancement'. From previous experience, it is probably useless posting the finished grid as the puzzle will probably be declared null and void.

Yes, and I'm still not happy that they excluded the whole of Scotland from entering Saturday's GK Crossword - closing date is Wednesday and there is no uplift of post here UNTIL Wednesday. Hubby wondered if I could have done it on-line but I did the on-line trial the week before, but that had to be sent in the post, so that wasn't an option either. I think they need to pull their socks up!!! Muzz
I think they have made a hash of the crossword for 17 down and entered entirely the wrong clue!! A word out of a Shakespeare quotation or poemwould seem to be appropriate - ambition
