Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

One last query - there has been some discussion on the 'other' site but I'n not convinced either way.

Support old Chinese warehouse (4)

I have HONG as it fits the definition - but how SUPPORT?

The alternative is HANG which is also a Chinese shop/mercantile house apparently

Any ideas?

If the definition of HANG is as you say (which I can't find) then I would go for that as one of the meanings of Hang in Chambers is 'to support against gravity'.

Hong is given as

"1 An obsolete form of hang–noun
2 A Chinese warehouse, consisting of a succession of rooms or store-houses."

Whereas I can't find HANG = Chinese warehouse. So HONG seems to work better.

I have changed my mind. I missed the significance of 'old' meaning 'obsolete' so will go along with dr b.

There is a reference to Hang and Hong here:

Hong is, Hang isn't (at least with the definition of a Chinese warehouse) so Hong is beginning to look better all the time.
