Listener Crossword 4121 To ... by Navajo

To save RR the bother, I will start the thread this week.
I haven't finished yet, but with a full and fairly easy grid fill, that just leaves the usual preamble and whatever potential disaster is lurking.

Indecently fast grid fill. I have 2 of the 4 clues to be preceded by the title, but can't see the other 2 or where to go next.
As a matter of interest, how do you start a thread?

Very nice. A (relatively) easy grid fill and an inspired guess as to the theme means I have set a personal record for finishing. Pride evidently going before a fall...

Yes even without the four clues the 32 cells cells do stand out. I wonder who this new setter Navajo is.....?

Aha. I see the 32 squares but remain ignorant of the other 2 answers to be preceded by the title. I wonder if it matters, since they don't have to be highlighted.

Started at 18.00 and just finished with the 32 cells highlighted and no certainty about the title. Back, now, to staring at 4120, having enjoyed some elegant, if undemanding, cluing in this week's.

Yes, here we are - that must be our fastest grid fill ever - but I did enjoy the quality of Navajo's clueing! No, we haven't found the four clues yet, either. To start a thread, you simply type in the title in the space at the top, then put your comment or message in this space, Contendo.

Simples - and the first time I've been quicker on the Listener than the Times. Mind you, I was slow on the Times today. Still need to sort out the four words, which I think are likely to be as obvious as last week'd dénouement, and it took me ages to see that too. The 32 cells are plain enough, though.

A record time for me too. If one excuses the fact that I also haven't got any of the four. However I did enjoy it - normally the quicker/easier ones leave me unsatisfied.

When you find one of the four, the others follow automatically, I think. Just a bit of Googling needed!

Yes, this was an easy one. I had a full grid (except for two to check in Chambers) and the theme clear by the time I got to Reading (for our friends abroad, that's about half an hour on the train). I was left feeling, well, cheated is putting it too strongly, but you know what I mean. Probably just as well, though, as I've got to dream up at least three more projects for students this weekend.

Just nice to have some spare time to look forward to though, of late, I had slipped into the habit of doing the puzzles over a few short sessions. This was one short session! At least tonight I can slouch back in tha armchair and enjoy Thora & Pete in the great 'Lost for Words'

Dear me, really should have spotted the significance of some of the elements of the directive that were staring me in the face a lot sooner than I did! Made me chuckle, though I'm currently drawing a total blank on the four answers.

Finally found the other two answers to make up the four, and these two have the "nominal connection" which the other two, as I understand it, lack. Odd that you don't have to highlight them.

An easy grid fill, and I got the four clues fairly quickly. Took me a while to get the highlighting as I was expecting something different, but there now. Nice.

Clamzy, I could have been with you in the "friday club" except I only started looking at it after lunch today. What to highlight seems clear (unless there's a huge red herring?) but like others, I only have two of the four clues and have yet to find the "nominal connection". Easy but fun.
