I thought the 2 answers I asked previously would give me my final 2 answers. I have made "guesses" but if I,m right don't understand why!!

Ivory is linked with jumbo and I think it is that

2d is IVORY - divide the clue between jumbo and jet - ivory is white and jet is black

Great. Thanks to you both. Never thought of the elephant connection, probably cos of "jet" in the clue. Suppose you could also say that jet is black and ivory almost white!! Which gives the opposite in the clue.
