Has anyone noticed but every week there seems to be one question repeated in both crosswords. The question is phrased differently but the answer is the same for both. This week it was 15a in Sat GK and 23a in Sun GK - answer to both is Lydia.
Don't know if this is just coincidence but it occurs just about every week.

If you google Kate Meehan you will see she runs a crossword making company and I suppose when you are making up crosswords, it's easy to duplicate clues for the same week!

Thanks for your reply. Thought lots of regular crossworders who "do" the Telegraph would have noticed.
Bit like the small daily DT cryptic - my Mother noticed many years ago that the first 2,3 or 4 clue answers always make another word or saying. Sometime a bit tenuous but they do.
Tenuous indeed! I've never forgotten the 1st time I noticed this - the answers were "Pincer" + "Whales"...
That has been a feature for the Telegraph for years. The first two across clues always join to make a phrase or saying, sometimes groaningly so.

Thank you for your reply. It was my sister who told me about my mother and the small cryptic (she had been dead several years then) but I've always done it since and get really cross when I can't link the often tenuous answer.
