Hi Hemjay - what was the answer for 2?

An anag of 'Leah' after 'mic' would give 'Michael' (?)

Hi Lie-in King - the answer to 2D was ANGELUS
Is the Archangel Michael mentioned in the Angelus? (as "one in...")

Mic(rophone) (sends signal) + anag 'Leah' (?)
As far as I know, St Michael is not in the Angelus, am thinking is there some word play on Michael Angelo here.
...Also 'Angelus' is Latin for 'Angel' -

What was the clue for 2?
Question Author
Hi scotman - clue for 2D was: Prayer is seen as something divine by American. So ANGEL + US
So if Michael is correct, the 'T' is wrong? where does that come from.

Maj, meet you back at the den, Purrrrrrrrrrr
one in 'angel us' -michael [why not?]
Sorry Hemjay, I'll have to stick with 'Michael', though I can't parse the clue any better & I have got to get some kip!

Night all...

Hi, Lie-in King - sorry for delay (I went to bed) I've found an alternative for the 'T' word which begins with 'C' so MICHAEL will fit. I think your answer is correct. There are 2 angels called Michael apparently. Thanks to you (and everyone else) for the help.
