44. Highgate
6. Russell (Watson) Square ?
6) sloane square? (Steven Sloane opera conductor)
Sorry thats 6/6 Doohhhh!
36 I wonder if this one is Russell Square. There are a couple of famous Nick Russell's and there is a park in the middle of Russell Square.
Put your spec's on grasscarp ;o)
and 6 could be Warwick Avenue as there is something called Opera Warwick
Maizie I am saying Russell Square for 36 not 6.
sorry grasscarp must stop speed reading stuff......I think 36 could be something central.... x
36 cant be something central if the second word is 6. There are only four 7,6 stations, Clapham Common, Crystal Palace, Russell Square and Warwick Avenue. I just went through the whole list on the back of a tube map. The things I do for poodledoo!
Oh dear...I think i left my brain somewhere today !

Thank you for your answers-especially to Grasscarp for taking the trouble to look on the back of a tube map. I had already done that, and come up with the same conclusion, there are only four 7, 6s to choose from. To make things worse-I think the "shape" clue points to the word square in the answer to no 6 which would probably leave clapham common for no 36, and I still can't see a connection with Nick if that is the answer, unless there happens to be a jail at Clapham, and nick refers to being "in the nick"
Do you think Grange Hill is correct for no 43 please?
Clapham might refer to clap 'em (in irons) meaning Nick?
very good Calibax. I think Grange Hill could be right for 43. I am a mere bystander though and not actually doing this quiz.

thank you both.
Clue for 36. Sale of the Century
jcaplen - if you are suggesting Parsons Green, that is 7,5 and not 7,6. Perhaps it is an error on part of setter?
