To let you know that you have won?? Do you have an alter-ego on here? Called quine?
So they can sell it and you receive hundreds of cold calls a day.
So they can call you and ask you the tie-breaker.

Bimbo - no alter-ago, I suspect we both originate from the same area. I don't need them to phone me to say I've won a fiver or whatever, I'm a bit sensitive to cold callers. My OH got rid of one very quickly by mentioning the word "dead"!! They hung up on him.
I agree with Pea Pod, as regards the crosswords or comps they NEVER ring to
inform you whether its a big or small win, but when they inform you and ask you
to fill in the form, its all confirmation that it IS you, and with a big win the request
a photograph NOT for necessary publishing, TAX purposes - with a big win in the
Lotto they do the same thing.

Thanks all, but I wasn't meaning big competitions, just these charity quizzes.

Just one of lifes little mysteries.
Seriously, just give your question some rational thought why don't you.

What side of the bed did you get out of, Barren Man? Thanks Nora.
You're welcome, I don't have proper wording of it but that's the jist of it from my recollection
