Saga Crossword
18d. putting on weight possibly (L------)
25a. Detective all but eschewing the flesh (------)
16d. It's me calling in a Fury! (--s------)
This could be important news for all solvers who are mystified by 8 down in this crossword.
Saga's compiler has admitted that the clue, as printed, is wrong. The answer is indeed AISLE. The clue should read: "A key to the passage (5)".
You can read the full explanation at:

then read the 4th post down the page from Jolan.
I see that the link that I provided produces an almost blank page.
Click on the heading Crossword Help Forum, a list of posts appears. Then go to page 2 (page numbers are at the foot of the page). On page 2 see post headed Saga July (6th from top), started by Jolan. Click on this post. This post has 5 pages. Go to page 4 and scroll down to Jolan's 4th post to read Saga's explanation.
Is the answer loading or leading for 18d - both seem to fit the clue and the available "lights". Lead(ing) would apply to the application of a weight (lead) - ie: "putting on weight". However loading may be the more obvious answer - please discuss!!!
My concern is 23a which may be "garrigo" but perhaps not? Please advise what is considered to be the best response.
chrispybacon: the answer to 23 across is gradino. Gradino is a step or raised shelf as above a sideboard or altar.
"...with painter (RA) stopping (stopping up/filling) doing (make an anagram of doing, then insert a 'filling' of RA)" = g ra dino.
