Can anyone help wiith today's city, please?

A leading 20th century architect made his mark on this ancient port and Zaha Hadid and Norman Foster have given the harbourfront and skyline a makeover for 2013. It gets its hands dirty with oil refining, but has strong musical roots from opera to hip-hop, all washed down with a famous aniseed tipple. Name the city.

There are the usual four pix: a lit up ferris wheel, a Russian looking church, some garlic and part of a block of flats, with brightly coloured patios.
