I am having difficulty in thinking of a word for got, 6 ltrs, BE?A?E. Various words, behave. beware, behove etc, but why got.

I would say became is closest to got although not ideal

Got is slang as in, " I had a dodgy curry last night and got ill", instead of 'became ill'.

behove doesn't fit your letters, but if I've got to do something (as in i'it is necessary') I could say "it behoves me to"
