Since this was not on Oarsman's list here it is.  Question states 'thirty years ago'. But if it is J.B. in C.S. as M.B. surely he joined in 1976. I can find no references for 1975. Or am I in the wrong street - as it were?

I've got what you've got, but you're right - he joined the 'Street' on 11th October 1976.  I've just checked on the 'Corrie net'.  Somebody can't add up (or subtract)!!!

Thanks for corroboration. I may be mixing M.B. up with another character in another soap, but I seem to recall that when he joined, he used an alias to hide the fact he was the new boss, and could find out more about his staff. Maybe a different 'B'
