This is boy Steven reporting for a Master Class. I have completed the crossword except for 36d. "Got a hundred, perhaps one of many tons made with strong defence"
I have d*e*d*o*g*t so the answer is obviously "Dreadnought" which fits the defence element of the clue. But, for the life of me, I can't work out the rest of the clue. I have come on leaps and bounds since i followed your earlier Master Classes. But this shows that I still have some way to go! Please help!

I was so obsessed with trying to work out how to work out how to get a c into the answer, and then how to use the D as a way to resolve the "hundred" issue that I simply overlooked the very obvious anagram (only obvious when you told me it was one) even though I had so many of the letters AND I had the answer. I shall stand in a corner and reflect on my foolishness. But thank you, again, for the extra tuition. I think that, in general, you would be pleased at the progress that I have made since I "attended" your master classes. But this shows that I am not there yet!
Thank you again.
