Code Cracking

A friend has sent me an email written in code. The code is blocks of letters and numbers, always 5 or 6 to a block - e.g.

K3357 b235H 1345J?

Anyone know how I can go about cracking the code?

I have in my time, been involved with codes on a basic level what i do know is that unless your friend has given you the key or it is a simple enough code you will have great difficulty asking someone on the AB to crack it, without all of the message at least.
