Yes, I thought of Bobby Darin, with Darin being an anagram of Drain, but it's a bit iffy!

Sorry 2shortplanks but they do not state number of letters.
I think I will go with Darin as he was a popular singer. Mind you with Dave he does have some very diverse answers so it could be a very deep solution, but I know him & he is a lovely man who looks up his answers in books and types the quiz up on a typewriter. Bless !
