Hello Grasscarp and thank you....ColUmbus, not ColOmbus....
I should check my answers before asking for help....
Grasscarp, I have just read your story about gift-wrapping.....Over the year, I keep all sorts of boxes and containers....at Xmas, my daughter is in charge of the wrapping.....she is very inventive and will use , for instance, empty toilet rolls to put lottery tickets , or shopping vouchers....the outer wrapping is often brown paper recuperated from parcels and decorated string, bits of ribbons, cord...the list is endless as nearly everything you buy has got some kind of wrap.....old Xmas cards provide the tags....etc...
I went to Homebase yesterday, and , at the check-out, they were selling tubes of 50 Xmas baubles of all colours for £ 1..... I am sure that she will put them to good use next year....
We celebrated Xmas yesterday as my son is working today......and...most of the wrapping of our presents.....will be used again next year....
now, time to take the dogs for a walk...and I shall be inventive for the turkey leftovers...
Happy Christmas...
