Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

I am totally "stuck" on solving clue for 21 across - From the Sioux tribe meaning "ally" (4 letters). I have a?g?. Please can anyone help ?

Yes. The full clue is "From the Sioux tribe meaning "ally" (4 letters)". I can find nothing to fit in with the letters that I have from other clues - a?g?, and I feel sure that those are correct. Perhaps there is a compiler's error !!!

9 Down is "Round yellowish seeds of major food value - 9 letters", for which I have "chickpeas", which not only fits with other clues, but gives the letter "a".
6 Down is "Nickname given to a John Osbourne character - 5, 5, and 3 letters", for which I have "angry young man" to use the second letter "g".It leaves "a?g?" unsolved !

NORTH AND SOUTH DAKOTA. Taken from the Sioux word for “friend,” or “ally.” that is the history of place names I know , but also Dakota/Lakota had links with the Algonquin Indians so maybe a derivative of that - Algo??
