Can anyone say honestly that they've never paid cash with no paperwork, knowing or suspecting that they're condoning tax evasion?

I occasionally paid my children for doing jobs such as clearing out the garage or washing the cars, and I didn't mention it to HMRC
I live in Africa it's a daily occurrence
I always pay for my car tyres in cash. Saves me about £15 per tyre. And I would happily avoid paying tax on other things if it was a worthy saving for me.

factor 30 - do you pay them more than the personal allowance, just under £6500?
Depends on the job, whether the guy is VAT registered and how much its worth.

If I do a little job for a neighbour or friend it would be churlish to refuse a bottle or two. Somewhere there is a line between this and a new bathroom, which should go through the books.

I CAN honestly say that I have never done it.
It's the black economy that keeps the country afloat ;-)
Haven't done it, wouldn't do it.
i used to get paid in cash when i worked at the pub, wasn;t worth me doing it otherwise
