Radio Times The Big Film Quiz

Just wondering if anyone else is attempting this quiz? I think I have over 30 answers, which I am happy to share if anyone needs help. Stumped on the feather, big pink knickers, red kite, black tower, bbc microphone (thought The King's Speech but mic probably too modern), milk bottle, carrier bag, two stetsons.

Black Tower - I thought 2001 a Space odyssey
Milk Bottle - Well there's a film called Milk with Sean Penn, or there was The Calcium Kid with Orlando Bloom I was going with Milk.
Two Stetsons? Brokeback Mountain? or The Cowboys?
There is a film about red kites but the title escapes me at the moment
stumped by those others - how about the height chart on the sea wall can't figure that one?

ive put forrest gump for the feather and bridget jones diary for the pants and mary poppins for the red kite ie lets go fly a kite but moght be wrong the milk bottle is the film milk stuckk on your others you dont know the dog do you?

Not absolutely sure, but I've gone with Gladiator, as they were often depicted in stone.

microphone must the king's speech! By the black tower, do you mean the thing on the wall? it's the monolith from 2001. thanks, as it were, for the pink knickers - just saw a flag! But have no idea what they mean.

i am stuck on the horn (the vikings? it's a bit thin) above the black book with 11 or II in the corner - is it a harry potter thing? Connected to the horn or are these two clues? also unsure on others, and have about 30 too, and am prepared to share on hope of an overlap!

sorry didn't read all the answers first - it's my first time using the site, and i didn't notice them! nungate, i think the height chart is the usual suspects ...i'm really stumped by the book and horn, would appreciate help on that ...

Agree that the milk bottle is 'Milk', big knickers is 'Bridget Jones' Diary', red kite is 'Mary Poppins' and feather is 'Forest Gump. Not convinced that the mic is 'The King's Speech' but can't think of anything else it is... Think I'm being really dump but what are the 8 helicopters and the WW2 bomber? Also have no idea about the baby & money, blue light above the banner related to 'Trainspotting', Tom Jones, MURDER written in mirror image, plastic bag or aussie hat on mirrorball??? Thanks

Black Hawk Down (helicopters), The Dam Busters, Million Dollar Baby, The Shining (murder backwards), The Blue Lamp, Strictly Ballroom (Australian movie), there is a movie called Tom Jones.
Still stuck on carrier bag and not convinced about Mary Poppins for the kite (the kite they fly with Banks at the end of the movie is green). Also, am I seeing things or are there some Canadian flags at the end of the pier?

Thanks, that's great. I do love these RT picture quizzes... Was wondering if the red kite relates to 'Kes' but think the bird in that was a kestrel??? Tenuous I know! Well I have 33 now, still not sure about the red kite, plastic bag, tight rope walker, stone knight on the wall or the man in the alcove... Plus I only have 38 clues so far, can't see where the last 2 are, hopeless!!! Btw, the black book and fang are definitely 'Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets'...

I've currently got 35 (hopefully all right), but stuck on a few. The baby on the pile of bank notes is stumping me this morning, as is the white faced creature in a little alcove on the right hand side (under Tom Jones), and does the word "Murder" graffit'ed backwards mean anything?

What's the spacey-like thingey at the top left hand side?

And is there a film called "Rope" - the rope just in view at the bottom left-hand side?


I still can't work out what the white plastic bag (left hand side) represents.

Happy to share too, but I've also got: Black Swan, Clockwork Orange, The Red Shoes, The Piano, Jaws. I think the Red Kite represents The Kite Runner.

Chokkie, see above posts for baby/money and murder graffiti... The spacey-like thing is the Death Star from 'Star Wars', think the rope is the fuse from 'Mission Impossible'...

Any suggestions for man in alcove, stone knight, plastic bag and tight rope walker gratefully received, thanks...
