Has anyone got any idea what might be a three letter word for a skating surface? It isn't ICE as this word has to start with a D, E or F to fit in with therest of the quiz.

Could be, the rest of the clue is a five letter word for "Teach a skill" which when the two are put together comes up with a 9 letter word that sounds like the two words put together. The example given is Caper; Humerous (5,5) which gives you Antic; Witty = Antiquity. I hope this makes sense!
