Last one: 8D Something in the garden that's been outstanding in leaves (4) S _ E _ . Is it SEED or SHED or STEM or some other word? Can somebody explain please?

Shed? two meanings..garden shed and 'shed' leave aside or leave off

a stem could be outstanding in leaves but it's the past tense, "been", that is puzling me.
sorry - just seen shed from shined and accept that as best poss
