Quizmail
Where is everyone? There have usually some queries by now. Yes, I know stormin' posted some. Are the questions easier this month, has stormin' given the game away or has last month's debacle put people off posting queries too early?
I'm really missing you all!! I know that some of you post on other topics, but please someone say something.
In case you're wondering, and you're probably not, I've not posted any queries this month because I was determined to get the answers myself and, guess what, I've got an answer to every question, whether they're right or not remains to be seen.
Sorry to be so long winded.

I got a clue to Q56 from The Chambers Encyclopedia under Political Leaders 1900-2000. I went through all the African nations presidents until I found one I thought looked like the picture in the question. I Googled an image of him and there was the same picture. After that it's easy of course to get the country. This is how I got the answer to Q55. If you don't have this book and want a more direct clue please let me know. I hope it is him after all this or I'll look a proper fool!!
I have posted a load of answers on my questions dated 08/05/05. They are mostly right! I am totally disillusioned by the rather "precious" attitude adopted by some quizmailers I therefore attach a few more for you to peruse. But if I see a specific question I shall endeavour to give an answer for you to research further.

Hi huggles, good to hear from a potential newcomer.
Go to www.postalquiz.com and follow the instructions. Hope you join us.
Tingtong,
Good to hear from you.
Re: the aggro. It's not so much that, but last month we had postings from some people who did not do the quiz who objected to others asking for the answers or clues after only a week or so. I hold my hand up to that myself. Obviously there were people who do the quiz who didn't like it either. Anyway the consensus of opinion seemed to be, ask for a clue and don't expect to be given an answer immediately. You have to really look for yourself before submitting a posting.
You got your posting onto the site, so just do the same again.
The person is Q12 is female.
Good luck!

I'm going to have to give you the names of the men in the photos as well. Because I didn't find them on websites makes it difficult to think of a clue.
Q55 - see above
Q57 - Sukarno
Q58 - Zia Ul-Haq
Q59 - Galtieri
At this late stage in the quiz I don't think that giving so direct a clue should upset anyone. Hope not anyway.
Hi stormin'
I don't think that it's a question of a precious attitude that some quizmailers have got. If you do give the answers away, it's not giving people who like to search a chance to do just that. Fair enough no-one has to read them but have you tried not to? If the answers are there when you scroll down a page, then you can't help but look.
Anyway, each to his own, I suppose.
Good luck with the quiz.
Marj
Be careful, carry on with your research, I know for certain that one of Stormin's answers is wrong.
I do wish people wouldn't post answers. Much better to have a clue to point you in the right direction if you really are stuck, after all, the fun of doing the quiz is carrying out the research and having the satisfaction you got the answer right ( if you do get it right ) I don't always I'm afraid.
Good Luck
